Viewpoints

Expressing viewpoints over cups of coffee, sips of wine, Turning phrases glibly, making trite all things divine, Never fills the empty space within men's searching souls; Keeps them in the hungry dark, far from eternal goals. Words un-endowed with Spirit, feelings stated yet devoid Of proper understanding by those souls who've only toyed With God's own "higher learning", (wisdom never touched by fools,) Are best left to the righteous... eager for Celestial schools. Secular indulgence, condescending at its best, Can't embrace the spirituality within life's test. Myopic in it's viewpint, shooting just beyond the mark, Leaves the searcher empty and still groping in the dark.
