I stand alone

I cut the strings that hold my hands up to the crying clouds this wisdom, this force you force onto me cannot bring me down I chose this alienation so I will not be drowned by the undertow, the ropes that pull try to pull me down you bloody your knuckles striking at me but do you think I really care? you cannot reach with the words that you teach so you tie me to the chair you wonder, you fear, then you hate then you try to destroy I break the leash you attach to me this game I've learned to enjoy I'm the toy that chokes your children when you let them free to abuse, to hate, to consecrate to choke me with their seed so in the end you pretend that I will disappear you cannot see what you give to me you empower me with your fear but I'll stand apart, out in the rain as the rest of the world strolls by I'll mark your world like a stain I'm the shadow in your sky
