In the Middle of the Night

In the dark, in the middle of the night          I had a dream that to me seemed so clear        I admit it gave me a terrible fright           I couldn’t see, but felt evil was near.       I felt cold chills run up and down my spine         I didn't know what was blocking my path      I thought for a moment I’d lost my mind        I knew what stood there was filled with pure wrath.     I was its prisoner; it was the judge          I begged and pleaded, all to no avail    I turned to run because it wouldn’t budge       It was the Devil, He’d come straight from Hell.                It hadn't been clear, what I could not see...          I found Jesus there, He'd win the victory.
