Choices

Your tongue slashed across my soul- gouging, tearing, ripping through what I thought was truth. The same that once caressed my body bringing delight never reached before; wave after wave of bliss- awakening every cell in my being. What hint of discontent did I choose not to see,  was it hidden in the music or did the silence hold the end? Ah but love, you cannot erase what I feel for you- only I can do that; nowhere in my heart can I find a corner untouched by what we shared in that split-second of eternity. Even now I can feel your mouth upon my skin. This is my truth- love even one-sided is worthy of elation, celebration. Tucked away within my heart- memories of a taste of sweetness once shared- is what I choose to remember!
