Yesterday Is Gone

A soft spring breeze I feel blowing my way, Cooling the sweat upon my fevered brow. I lay in a field this warm lazy day, Nothing to do this moment anyhow. Maybe check the line on my fishing pole, Stretching motionless, way out in the lake, Butterflies flutter by, Oh Bless my soul! Living like this, you know I sure can take. Summer is now here, the heat so intense, If I don't cool down soon, I'll lose my mind. Mother Nature plays tricks, that makes no sense. Storm clouds will rage, or the sun makes you blind.       Sing the songs of fall...winter comes along.       Please live for today...yesterday is gone.
