On Domesticity

The cat wants only claws to reach deep in the yeasty folds  and pull out reasons for catching mice and chasing shadows. He does not waste longing on  flight making feathers  or swift scale glimmers  which turn gray in breathable air. But sighs for the whisper of points to pull against tameness and leave weals with lively red welts to follow
