Angel Shadows ANGEL SHADOWS (By Jim MacMaster) [January 14, 2000] [revised March 16, 2002] We think of angels in the light beckoning us with their flight, so iridescent and surreal seemingly alive to feel. But if we close our eyes to see beyond the plane of you and me we catch a glimpse of what is there, the real thing, not magic fare. Created by some other being always present, always seeing, the Angel Shadows soft and strong emancipated from those gone. Like blankets wrapped to keep out cold or loving arms to lift the old, brave, dark sentries forever there on solid ground not in the air. For reasons that we cannot know, in places we'd thought not to go, they hang around as lives unfold and guide and save our dreams to hold. And though no faces and no names we know them yet, just the same. those Angel Shadows will never leave unless, of course, we don't believe. END |
