AND IT WAS SAID (PART 3)

Through the seven colours of the rainbow      the rocket blasted into the unknown. All the while the people sat through the storm      listening to the last words of the Master. "So it is, and so it shall always be." "There is no end to the expanse of the Universe" "There are no signs at the end." "There is only love, peace, and harmony." With that the Master flung the sign (Bomb Shelter)      as far as he could. "That sign is worthless now," he intoned. "Worthless." He lifted his arms once again, and brought the ends of the rainbow      together in the palms of his hands,      and laughed a soft laugh. The energy brought about a tremendous flash, The last sight the people saw was the silver space craft.  "All we are saying, is give peace a chance." (1) The melody was louder now, even more melodious. The craft hurtled at speeds unknown to even those that launched it. The dials, the needles whirled at breakneck speeds,      and shattered. Communication was lost. Through a firestorm the inhabitants of the craft hung on, Only to crash. Somewhere. One inhabitant emerged alive. Through the dust beyond the craft he came. He carried a staff. He wore sandals. He raised his palms, and from them a white dove flew. The Master spoke, "Nay, know not why you are here,"            "EVE" And then he departed skipping above the earth,      clapping his hands and singing, "It's when the silence of the mountains and the crashing of the sea, there lies a land I once lived in, and she's waiting there for me." (2)
