Chaser of Demons...Calmer of Souls (Revised)

Revised, and re-titled    “Radiant Light”            You tease the waters with your warmth The rays from your morning brilliance light the sky, and play hide and seek among the rainbow-colored clouds The flowers of the fields beg for your touch The fruits of all gardens reach out for you, waiting to taste your richness upon their fragile skin, knowing their nectar will be much sweeter because of you The mighty oak stretches out its proud limbs, longing to pull you closer, as if to say, ‘Please, don’t go…I need you today... I thrive when you are near...I’d die without you’ Little children and animals bask in your beauty Old folk harvest riches beyond compare from your smile You chase demons and monsters from so many dreams You calm restless souls who would otherwise be lost You are the first thing sought after when the world wakes at the break of dawn You are “The Light” of all that lives... You are “The Radiance” NOTHING can live without.

Additional Notes:
Revised 1st attempt at free verse. This is NOT easy, but I love doing it. I'm leaving both versions posted, for now.
