Cowgirl

In cowboy boots and a stetson hat her dark hair swaying too and fro She scanned the crowded dancing hall the proclaimed "I'm here to run this show" Jeans too tight, shirt too short a voice with a southern twang She grabbed the mike and said "lets go" "don't ya all think its time I sang"? They all stood with mouths wide open at the boldness she was showing here tonight But as soon as she started singing not a dry eye was there in sight Her song told of wide open spaces mustangs running wild and free Eagles soaring in weathered canyons how life on the range had come to be As her serenade came to a finish she bowed her head in stylish grace for the most pleasure she was feeling came from the smiles upon their face.
