His Eyes

When I first saw him, I could see, Forever in his eyes. Smoldering looks, that promised, Love…  It caught me by surprise.   His body brought me passion. Only for him, did my heart beat. My soul was linked with his. In a word I felt; Complete!  Through the months, I’d look and see, Forever in his eyes. Smoldering looks, that promised, Love…  A lifetime of blissful sighs.  My world was filled with music, It spilled across the land. I believed in magic. Heaven… Was my lovers hand.  When I first saw him, I could see, Forever in his eyes. Smoldering looks, that promised, Love…  It caught me by surprise.  Yesterday, I saw that look, Aimed at someone new. I tried to deny it. I know… It can’t be true.  Every time I look, I see, Forever in his eyes. Smoldering looks, that promise, Love… But now I realize.   The greatest love I’ve known, Will only make me weep. His eyes are making,  Promises… His heart, will never keep.
