Gone But Never Forgotten

I miss Knowing you cared The passion we shared Your soulful eyes Our weekend good-byes The intoxicating scent  of your skin Sweet moments  of wild abandon Your smiling face And strong embrace Your tender touch I loved so much Everyday conversations Exhilarating sensations Arguments we had Still make me sad Words never said Sit silent in my head Your gentle, affectionate ways Warm as the sun’s golden rays Romantic nights & Playful fights To the chaos of the world I was blissfully blind Sleeping by your side Warmly curled & Comfortably entwined Kisses long and sweet Cold feet touching feet Two bodies creating heat Love that made me feel complete

Additional Notes:
I think this poem pretty much speaks for itself - however, to give you a personal glimpse into the motivation behind its' creation ... I wrote it to my now fiance during one of the several 'break down/break up' periods we've gone through. We've been together now for nearly 8 years, but as in all relationships, we've had our share of problems and obstacles. Reality deems these things necessary and even more so that we face them and overcome them. I can only say that I'm grateful the obstacles I've encountered within this relationship have never been too big for love to conquer. This poem has never been published.
