Morning Rituals

The warmth of the English breakfast tea drowses me,  contentment is the cup emptied into my heart and soul ---sweetened with cream and sugar. Dreams, meditations flow, steep beneath half-open eyes time for the stimulants: words, phrases, caffeine to circulate, stir, help me rise up to morning life. The spoon clinks in my favorite stained, now empty ceramic mug.
