Rambling Roads

My head is filled with blurred visions,  mind floating like a balloon...floating... eyelids dragging the edge of my cheeks, thoughts drifting lazily along...until... syllables begin to form words, jumbling,  tumbling onto the page like tumble weeds  roll along on winding country roads.  Phrases scatter like chaff, aimlessly  drifting...lines of restless verse wander  onto the fallow soil of the smooth paper, as colorful phrases, like rambling roses, spring up from the seeds of subtle ideas, scattered all along the pondering path  on rambling roads of delightful creativity.

Additional Notes:
I'm taking a poetry class on the different types and styles of poetry, and my first assignment was to write a page of rambling thoughts. This fun piece came out of phrases in that assignment.
