Truth As Gold

Many oft' approach the truth from several varied angles, Wonder why some things don't "fit" and so they're left to dangle. They want to find a "slant" on it that simply isn't there, Because the truth is upright, plumb, and always to the square. What's solid, from foundation to the top, won't deviate To please the twisted minds of men and stories they create. They'll waste their lives in tunnels, vainly try to dig around The truth, which is immoveable, thus prove their course unsound. If only men would love the truth as gold and spend their lives In its pursuit, what e're the cost, then they'd obtain the prize. But first they must perceive the truth and recognize its light As that which shines forth in the dark and leads them to do right. Remember, truth is like a stone standing firm - eternal - Waging battle against men in league with the Infernal. It can't be overturned, removed, or long obscured by lies For, when it's wisdom in the Lord, it will again arise!
