Sun & Moon

Warm, gentle sun   caresses me from the sky too soon the day is done    and we sadly say good-bye beautful, soulful moon    visits me in the night most memorable in June    it kisses my face ... then takes flight    in the morning ... the sun I then embrace    as I wake to see its' light strongest at the break of dawn    I am greeted without fail almost before the moon is gone    its' rays cover me like a veil sun so faithful and true    warms & brightens my day revealing skies color of blue    making me wish it could stay time so quickly it does fly    once more sun will go then moon will rise high    it always does you know hand in hand with the stars    illuminating the night somewhere between here and mars    such a beautiful sight Oh radiant moon ...    seduce me with your light leave me not too soon    let my soul hunger no more watch over me as I sleep    guide my dreams to the shore protect the secrets that I keep    too soon you will be gone and we'll say good-bye again    then with the dawn a brand new day will begin ...

Additional Notes:
The sun, moon and stars are something which hold a special fascination for me ... based on this, one night as I lay in my bed unable to sleep, a full moon shining outside my window, I created this poem. It has never been published neither have I shared it with anyone - until now.
