HOLLYWOOD SPLASH

Ritzy rhinestone collar, Flashing pink toenails, Sculptured silken ears, Poofy ball topped tail. Woven lead of leather, Calves skin, butter soft, By matching painted hands Held daintily aloft. Noses pointing skyward Parade in duet prance, Puppy and his person Steps left not to chance. But tragedy awaits This prim and proper pair, A muddy, grimy puddle Upon the thoroughfare. Sleek Corvette racing past Pedal to the floor, Passes well bred upper crust, Engine in full roar. The puddle, once inert, Arises in a splash, Drenching perfumed puppy coat In muddy wet backlash. No longer pure perfection, Pups nose comes down to earth. Finding muddy water fun, Splashes in pure mirth.
