"KITTY KITTY"

Sunwashed tawny belly Striped, a flash of white, Soft padded paws at rest At peace in spring's soft light. A crackling twig does cause One black lined eye to peek, A sculptured ear to flicker, "What has disturbed my sleep?" A human there, behind the fence, Third eyelid turning round. "This creature is addressing me?" A most annoying sound. On four paws now standing, Most regally I stretch. Posing for the camera clicks, Trying not to retch. Tis jungle born I am, Master of my domain! "Kitty kitty" in my ear Does drive me quite insane.
