For Jillian Larkin the Unborn

Across the country we hold hands yours which will forever stay too small to grip even my littlest finger and mine which proved not strong enough not large enough to lift you into this existence Your mother's heart proved not large enough not strong enough to choose you my little one and so One greater saw whose hands and heart were just the right size to gather your tiny self up and in His hands and in my heart you shall have Eternal Life

Additional Notes:
My best friend recently had an abortion this past Saturday....this is a poem for her unborn child which she was going to name after me if she were to have decided to have it. Larkin is the child's middle name, after the biological father's statement that if he had ever had a daughter he would name it Larkin.
