Welcoming Green

Oh, you canopy of leaves bravely birthing from skeletal trees, it’s been so long since your departure, detached and brittle last chilled October. Reach for blue skies, young fingers of green, unblemished by insects and rustling wind. Please stay awhile.  Adorn my world before Autumn wrinkles, dries, and curls. Your delicate veins cannot sustain  more than a flash of warmth and supple rain. I celebrate you while walking by– Each Spring you unfold  such innocent sky.
