The Darker Side

Let's talk about the darker side, the side you often try to hide. the side that's seldom spoken of. It only takes a push or shove to come to light, to give it life. The surge cuts through you like a knife. The strong emotions it can bring can sometimes be a scary thing. Though you try hard to keep it hidden, often times it comes unbidden. The slightest thing can be its call. A fit of rage or alcohol can be the spark that starts the fire that burns with unholy desire. You never know how it will be once you set the demon free. Once you start to contemplate, to reason from the wells of hate, the evil thoughts on which you're dwelling make evil deeds seem so compelling. But if you go in search of learning you may find there's no returning. The dark side that we all must quell leads only to the gates of hell.
