HER PLATTE

The setting sun's dazzling colors, splashes                The untamed skyscrapers and rooftops                 archaic designs, and slithering configurations           Decorating them with hues of purple, orange and pink.                     Mulitiudinous windows change                Magically into brilliant bars of gold.        Using her palatte of colors, she plays master architect         Changing design and structure of mighty brick and steel                 Into a landscape of polychrome skyline.                 The carnival of colors briskly transforms.               Lake Michigan picks up the last rays of coloration                   Becoming a kaleidoscope of chromaticity.                       The sun lays aside her palatte                         And sinks into the West                          The days wowrk is done.
