Circus lights glaze amnesia over elephants sitting in a circle of chairs while the music is stopped.         She is not here,         no matter how many times I blink.                     There standing in the company of elephants                    refusing to sit                             (because one chair is missing).                                    Wherever she goes,                                     carrying the chair she built.
