A Question

So lovely! See it spinning there in space This earth, surviving all the death that lives Within this universe. Could possibly the grace Of life be but a fleeting cosmic gift? A cup of water holds in its embrace Life in its thousands yet when still, holds stars  in captive bonds. Oh, wondrous view! The race  Of man sees galaxies afar. Through theory and a view empirical we hold a universe in mind, and still are limited by death, life’s miracles are lost in one harsh final breath, unwilled.       The biggest mystery in that last sigh      Is that a man in death, still questions why.
