You think you know me...

You think you know me      And yet you don’t I am more than your estimation I see the good      Reject the bad And laugh at the mere provocation I’m as old as the wind      Young as the sun And proud as the newest of nations Look in my eyes      And you would see The strength of ten generations The beauty is tragic      The wildest magick Resides in one little finger I bend in the gale      Refusing to fail But the memories always will linger My smile is a task      Which brilliantly masks The power of my resolution My spirit is worn      But stridently borne The product of my evolution My heart has been won      Not easily done Eternally yours for the taking I smile at the pain      And welcome the gain That is my true personage waking You say that you see me      And maybe you do Deep down in your spirit-clad eyes I’m not really hiding      Just silently biding Trapped in this childlike guise No longer alone      My instincts are honed I know I’ve no longer to roam Someday I surmise      I’ll look in your eyes And instantly know that I’m home

Additional Notes:
This one is purposefully lyrical... it's supposed to be light and fun :o) tho the subject matter seems 'deep'...
