A Mothers' torment

As I see you crying the pain you feel inside suffocates me I give you soothing words and comforting touches But it never seems to be enough To stifle the ache deep inside I turn to you the one that's bruised You gleam your smile and hold me a moment leaving me to marvel in this miracle that I've conceived Michele Mann

Additional Notes:
This poem ,by no means, has anything to do with child abuse. It is to represent a child getting hurt and the pain a mother feels because she cannot make the pain go away fast enough. Then somehow, the child makes the mother feel better by saying it doesn't hurt anymore with their big o' grin!
