Balance Broken

Crystal water cascades down from high above the jungle canopy, Its powerful roar echoing for miles as it turns frothy white and enters                                                                         forcefully into the lagoon below, Majestic trees swaying lazily in the hot and humid breeze,                                                                               Birds of brilliant colors crying out as they soar in flight searching                                                                       for mates of their own kind, The lush green jungle carpet teeming with an abundance of creatures colored in shades of the borrows where they hide, Predators and prey forever keeping nature in perfect harmony until that balance is broken, The presence of an unwanted visitor who does not belong, A hunter with no skills but a weapon of destruction, In the serene quiet of the jungle void of any creatures as it once had been, Now the sounds of approaching machinery, Become its only song..
