Zephyr

The lonesome wind whistles an aria in treetops. Bristles and darts between leaves ripples water, tickles sky. Aspen quake in harmony to the rhythm of nature's tune. Pine needle carpets lie mute, accepting Zephyr's caress. Standing in a clearing my eyes cast upwards I see the gentle sway of the forest. A feathery touch brushes my face I hear a groan as Zephyr whispers among Juniper, such a melancholia howl, a mournful wail. Has the God Boreas forsaken her? Leaving her breeze to slip through the cosmic sky alone? Then I must cry....as I too am adrift.
