Fire And Ice

(3/22/2002) Fire and ice There's no in between Heat and cold Used as a screen Hidden behind Two opposing extremes Nothing is Exactly as it seems Hotter than hell Colder than ice Emotions kept hidden But at what price? Nothing let in All kept out Never taking a moment To question or doubt Hot fiery temper With a chilly air Trying so hard To pretend not to care Suppressed emotions Kept hidden from all Never letting them show Afraid to fall Lashing out in the heat Turning away in the cold It's all an act Hiding things untold Fire and Ice There's no middle ground One after the other Like a circle goes round
