Smile, Whistle, Pray

They walk on hot streets, rain or shine so I can send messages to friends of mine. They go into places that I wouldn't dare! But they always deliver  The US mail. They may walk with a limp, but they whistle and smile as they carry that burden mile after mile. They battle with mud, misquitto's, and dogs unaware! Yet, bravely they keep right on walking but these days they're scared. The raging croons have started to swarm In secret meetings they devise to do harm. Many more victims and a new task master! Yes, our mail carriers have reason to walk a little faster. We do our best to raise US morale. We get to know our neighbors now. The bells of "God Bless America" ring!  Let's get on our kness with dailey prayers God bless America's Mail Carriers!
