SLEEPLESS

S oft shadows deepening into darkness, I    L ie restless, sleepless on my bed;     E nveloped, again, by that old madness.       E ndless thoughts pulse through my head.         P unching up pillows, I toss and turn; right,           L eft, then right again. So weary. Yet the clock             E ffortlessly ticktocks away this long night.             S lowly, finally, it lightens. Bleary eyes in shock.           S earing sun brightens the horizon of the new day.

Additional Notes:
I truly am having trouble sleeping and am suffering from sleep deprivation. Yet another acrostic, all in fun. I think if you haven't tried one, you should. Although the muses are probably not amused. Sure hope I haven't offended mine in any way, but he/she has been so fickle of late, that it would serve them right.
