Gone Fishin'

Summer days are gold and flowing, With memories fond, worth knowing. For times of fun and relaxation Will add to winter time creation. So how to spend this summer day Is more than important, in a way. Memories made in fun and laughter Will linger on the mind hereafter. And fishin's one memory fond Of Grandpa's pasture fishin' pond. A walk along the well-worn cowpath; A tin of worms and thoughts of creek bath. Are just a few of life's small treasures, That harvest after summer's pleasures. So think about what you might say, When asked what you will do today. Instead of mourning what you're wishin' Get that pole and let's go fishin'.

Additional Notes:
This is one fond memory of mine. Too many people whine away their days complaining about how bored they are because they do not see the long-term view of life. What a waste! Each moment is so precious and will hold either pleasant memories or regrets. I choose not to experience regrets. What do you choose?
