I Ought to Autumn

With another, there were long walks  and echoes of voices along the trails. Time is moving on as Fall, the weight is heavy. It has been many years since a flame.  A horizon of lavender    and yellow streaks the sky  with new possibilities to ignite. As the rain drops on dry grass and crisp leaves, sounds and senses are stirring but my mind is cider. Should I consider a venture?   My hopes pick up with the wind which blows hard about now, the soil may get in my eyes. Soon the straw colored light will be white.   Time to start something new before the frost sets in. Should I accept the invitation to go out, let my defenses fall as the leaves brown and gold?
