October Morning

Oh, sweet morning mist Lay gentle upon the leaves Soft breeze quivering in wanton dance Embracing shadows among the trees As golden spears shoot through the wood Dropping diamonds in the stream Three deer appear at waters bank And complete an autumn scene  So artists take their brush in hand Bearing witness to natures glory Illustrations painted in red and gold To enhance the poet’s story
