Adagio Ascendent

The sloop slides from shore, progress slow as my process of reaching toward shadowed exultation, or as ecstasy erases reality while pain sustains in uncertain expanses; my soul seeking sublimity, a sense of transcendence or incandescence, a revelatory bliss or epiphany, an orphic exploration or explanation. The sloop is asea, out of sight, existing solely in the unlighted caverns of my mind.
