Days of Change

The frost is on the pumpkin sitting in the snow The last days of summer are gone it`s time to let them go Soon Thanksgiving will be here Then Christmas with lots and lots of cheer New years with all of its noise and `quaintences not forgotten The new year`s resolutions soon to be broken, like something rotten There`s St Valentines day full of candy, flowers, and love Why does it picture love with an arrow through the heart, and not of a dove? Watch out for St Patty`s day with ale, spirits, and toasts That little green man, the wee people, I think they are called A green suit, and even a green hat to boast Can`t forget spring when all things start anew Only to be enjoyed, it seems, by a chosen few Long hot days of summer gone by As we get older faster and faster do they fly Autumn with all of it`s glorious colors and golden hues And mornings everything covered with dew Nearly full circle now we have come `Cept for winter whose cold and snow will have us on the run Another year has past and now we are done
