Growing and Up

standing tall I have not always as the days have grown and so have I winds and windows open blow away day by day and by and by taller I have grown many seeds I have sown but we were left and my tree once cleft by thunder rent asunder To reveal a thief, I how many rings how many things now cry leaving it behind I add some around me took time and found we and up a mountain grow and seeds sow Into the trees I could not see A forest for, far below

Additional Notes:
This is a poem about perspective and a twist on a thing they used to tell me at the temple: "When you devote yourself, challenges grow at your feet like mushrooms". I wonder if you can see that in there.
