Thoughts of a Three Eyed Fish

With one eye in the middle And two on either side, Iridescent scales of gold Pink frown on lips quite wide. I settle in my glowing pond With thoughts of future true, When quiet bed becomes a host Of madmen with their brew. The clock is ticking forward, Three more weeks to go Before my glowing water home It's peace I must forgo. The muddy bank near yonder bridge Is scene of much hijinx, As I am forced to share my pond And act as though the Sphinx. Himself, the troll, does call the shots My three eyed self ignored, Until the beer begins to brew I'm totally quite bored. But then the place it livens up, With loosened lips ajar, "Do you see that lime green suit? It blinds you from afar!" It seems the leader of the pack Has made his presence known, Day glow polyester lime, Good thing not sporting chrome. Next to this blinding image One tall and not so wide, Inside a purple jumpsuit Head tilted to one side. Alas the purple one Was tackled on arrival, Thrown to the ground and kicked about By two of the archrival. Yet by the tree some sanity And dignity did reign, Matriarch in queenly garb Sporting a polished cane. I poke my three eyed face Above glowing water's crest, How close is the commotion To my simple sleeping nest? The mud is clearly flying Skin bare but quite unseen. Splat!  I'm hit between two eyes. I guess it's not a dream.
