A Theory of CompositionC ArrownutThis one utterly amazes me. I read it across and down each column, but don't know what to make of it other than it seems to describe me if I'm bored. But it is an interesting and intriguing form, very creative. Thanks for putting it up. It is totally different all the other ones I've checked. Though today is my first day on the site, so I may run into more amazing things. Litz2003-10-05 19:16:27
Departed SpiritsC ArrownutC. What a moving poem! Definitely reminds me of the loss of my parents several years ago. I still miss them terribly. Somehow that doesn't end. But to your poem. Excellent images reveal both father and narrator. What he did for her, animals, gardens, and probably things she learned from him. The narrator's feelings toward this man are shown quite sharply in the images. Excellent Poem. Thank you for sharing this one with me. This is a topic many of us are compelled to deal with at times. You're not alone. Litz 2003-10-05 19:10:18
Traffic LightC ArrownutHi C. I went to the Archives to see if you had anymore poems and you did. This one I'm not sure about unless it is the materialistic attitude toward Christmas. The buying til we drop is a form of insanity and I enjoyed the way you described the Christmas tree: Angel, lights, bulbs, elves and broading down to tins, which I think mean presents, too many gifts that is. Fascinating images. Thanks for sharing. Good Luck with this one.2003-10-05 13:57:47
BlindedC ArrownutC. I'm new on the site, but did want to look at a few poems and where better to look than on the contest list. Can't tell if you're male or female, which feels a little odd, but I'll get over it. Your poem struck me and I'm not sure why. Just the idea that we are all blinded psychol. and spiritually in some way. No one sees the entire picture objectively the way God does. Fascinating idea and one I must think on for a while. I especially like the words one-room universe, and take that to me our own little view of life and God. It might be better if you had added an s on universe to indicate the trillions that are and have been since time began. Other than that, it looks and reads like a fine poem. Good Luck in the contest. My OilC ArrownutFine poem, C. I'm new on the site and decided on your poem to be my first because I'm an very amateur artist. Really enjoyed the poem, the short phrases (no sentences that I could see) are like a brush stroke, each not a lot by itself, but when taken together present a clear picture of a struggle and recovery. Best of luck to you, C. Litz2003-10-05 08:56:29
