Greetings, My name is Michael Hoskins. I am 57 years old and married. My wife's name is Kimberly and I am a blessed man. She is also my very best friend. This is the second time that I have become active on this site. If you are looking for a slow hand and a soft touch then this will not be the site for you. There are very educated poets here both critiquing and writing. Most with educational skills are very accepting of each other as they should be due to their talents and education but if you are new be ready for a challange. If you listen and look through some of the personal perception's that come with being human, this is an exceptional place for you to grow both as a writer and in composition of your poetry. If you cannot take constructive criticism then this will not be the place for you. I am a Vietnam Veteran and very proud to have served my country during a time of conflict. I was (and always will be) a United States Marine. Some of my poetry involves my war experience's. For those who read about my experience's, some of the writing will be of a personal nature dealing with feelings and thoughts about the war not with an eye towards exact correctness but more of the inner person and the experience. Kim and I live on Camano Island, Washington. We are fifty mile north of Seattle. With the exception of two years after the service, I am a "Washington native" as is Kim. We are retired and focusing on writing and traveling. Our children are grown so we are free to pursue our interests. Please feel free to email Kim and I. We would love to hear from you.
