Moving to Australia as a small child from England, I went to school and college and taught in Victoria, before travelling overseas again for two years in the early '70's. Writing was high on my priority as a long term project for my retirement, after many years as a primary teacher.
I am married with two adult sons, and three grandchildren. I moved to the Northern Territory in 1975 and spent the next 12 years living in areas throughout the Territory, including nearly 8 years at a number of remote settlements. I now live in the rural area on two and a half hectares, about 30 kms south of Darwin. I enjoy being outdoors, something very easy to do in our climate, and after numerous attempts over recent years, I now have my vegetable garden well organised.
I have had a few pieces published this year. I write quite a lot of more humorous, performance poetry and enjoy this aspect considerably.
