I have been writing since I was about 7 years old. I have kept diaries and
journals; written short stories and poetry; and tried (unsuccessfully) my
hand at writing a play once. Poetry is my hobby, and I love playing with
words, creating imagery, and using the sound of certain vowels and consonants
to evoke moods, pictures, and stories. My focus is mostly to paint pictures
with words so that the reader can experience my poetry, perhaps remembering
something that has touched him/her and perhaps providing someone with
joy, sadness, or just a chance to have a glimpse into an experience from a
different perspective. I want to touch my reader and let him/her take my
poem to heart.
