Matthew Philip Requa's Profile:
I am 23 years old and I have been writing poetry for about
years.
Some of my favorite poets are Emily Dickinson, Jo Carson, and Jewel. If
you ever get a chance to read Jewel's anthology, "A Night Without Armor",
it is excellent. I admire the simple beauty of her work, and I try to write
that way as well. My future plans include Cornell University for my MFA
in creative writing, and maybe someday being an actor (which is my first
love). But for now, I am focusing on my writing and perfecting it.
I'd like to wish whoever is reading this good luck with their writing,
and thank-you for contributing to such an incredible art form.
