Janet Hall's Profile:
Much of my creative energy has been directed to teaching young people. Most recently I taught kindergarten through fifth grade gifted education classes. We've moved to a small mountain lake community and, since I'm not yet employed full-time, this is a chance to call on the muse, and hope she calls on me. My husband can write sonnets on demand. I hope he will share some of his work with this community. My children are thirty and twenty-eight. Both write poems. My brother, Tom Smihula, writes poems, also. A desire to see his work led me to the PoetLink.

In the Caves Thomas H. Smihula Dear Brother, This glimpse of a place of sheltered pleasure and seeming reality brings many threads into my hands as I weave a forget-me-not for you. Plato and rich imagery and richness of spirit tempered at a camphor fountain in a cave that echos in my memory. Please know that I haven't forgotten you and hope that you will consider a stroll with me, someday. Our last stroll was near Mom's apartment. I wonder about the question that goes with "Those Wondrous Caves". And I wonder how it goes with you and I pray for you.
