I began writing poetry at an extremely early age. I feel as though poetry is often based on feelings, opinions, as well as personal thoughts which pertain to one's own inner sensations, whether it is the author or the reader. Also, I feel that many poems, meanings, and customs are up to the reader to deceiphor; thus, poetry allows one to relate to his own interpretation and apply it to his own emotions and life style.
I always sign my middle name to my submitions because there are so many "Janet Harrisons" out there. I am 29 years old, and yes, I feel as though the opinions of others pertaining to my poems are helpful in many ways. Thus, I enjoy submitting my poetry, and I do hope that everyone who reads them enjoys my work, as I know I will enjoy those written by others.
