Hello...My name is Lamar. I really enjoy this site and am so delighted to have found it. I have already learned so much here and will only grow as a result. I just turned 50 in June of this year. I live in a small town - Lafayette, Georgia (just south of Chattanooga, TN). I have been divorced for almost 10 years now and live alone. I have 3 children, son 30...2 adopted daughters 17/18...5 grandkids, including one set of twins. I started writing about 9 years ago just to vent some inner emotions and feelings after some personal tragedies. Up to this point my family are the only ones that have ever viewed much of my work. I truly love written and spoken verse. Other than the school of hard knocks and high school, I have no formal training, therefore my knowledge of content, form, flow, etc. is somewhat limited. I do appreciate all the feedback I have received thus far. I welcome any and all suggestions that may help me to grow as a poet. (it's not just a hobby or past-time...it has become my passion) I look forward to a long and lasting relationship with this great site and all you great people. Thanks...lamar
