To me, poetry is not so much an expression of self as it is a window on the world. I like to read something that sheds light, opens windows of understanding, or simply makes me smile. I have been writing, forever now, still trying to find 'the one'. I live in small town, usa, with my dog, and bird. I use music for inspiration, finding that instrumentals lend themselves to any creative path that I am stumbling on. I am concerned that Americans have lost a taste for the wonderful art of expression, trading it for 'free choice'. Language, however changing, is still the best way to share thought!
