I have been writing poetry of some kind or another since I was
years old. It has been like a therapy for me. When experiences leave me overwhelmed, saddened, or speechless, the words just seem to flow. I have always wanted to study poetry and creative writing, but time has not allowed this yet. I try to read and learn on my own as much as possible.
This site has enabled me to start writing just for the joy of writing, not because I feel the need to release something. I am anxious to log on each day and share in the wonderful poetry here, soaking in the knowledge gained from thoughtful and thought-provoking critiques.
Now about me: I'm a mother of 3-two daughters in college, and a son in junior high.I also share my life with a wonderful man and his 9 year old daughter, 3 dogs, 1 cat, and a guinea pig! I work full-time also, so minutes spent on the Poetic Link are valuable commodities! We keep busy, to say the least. I was born and raised in a very small town in Vermont, and even after 20 years of living in Texas, I still consider Vermont, home.
