Hi everyone. I was looking through the July issue of The Writer (writermag.com) and read great "reviews" of this site, and Chris Moore, administrator. I also scrolled through some of the comments you wrote about this site. I'm very impressed by what I have seen thus far, including some of the work I've read.
My writing career began early in my teenage years, and was interrupted by various things like having children, raising children, returning to my profession as a medical editor, and just general life necessities which took up my time. I find that I need hours a day to accomplish what I have to in order to produce good writing. Since my husband died I've been the head of household and sometimes that meant working 12 hours a day. I've approached writing very differently the past few months, actually putting it first, in the early mornings before work, or late late evenings, and of course weekends.
I haven't submitted anything yet to this site, but I will soon, and look forward to the honest and helpful critiques.
