I'm a southern homemaker and fulltime mom, trying to cover up a little gray around the temples at 53 years old. Raising four sons, three now grown and married, has been a challenge and joy in my life. My 11-year-old, Josh, brings fresh joy each day; keeping me "thinking young" along with four grandkids.
Most of my writing is inspirational christian. My poetry comes from a deep love of My Father and seeking to communicate "His Heart" through my writing. It amazes me how God reveals His Love to me through the gift He placed in my life. I don't take full credit for my writing--the glory is all His! Having struggled through chemical depressions most of my adult life, I know what it is to trust God in the darkness. At the end of each tunnel of darkness was His gentle light that bathed me in healing. My writing doesn't come out of my depression, but because I chose to trust rather than give up; I came out of the tunnel with greater compassion for others and perception of God's Love.
I just finished my first website (URL address above) lighthearted words by Karen to showcase my personal poetry. I do hope everyone will visit and enjoy! Suggestions or comments would be much appreciated.
